Family of Jesus and Mary - FJM

The association of the “Family of Jesus and Mary” which began in 1981, at the time of the Beatification of St.Claudine, it’s Foundress, is an association of the lay faithful who desire to share in the Charism transmitted by St. Claudine Thévenet (Foundress), to her daughters.
Thus the FJM is closely linked to the Congregation. The members, sensitive to the call of the Church, while remaining in the world, share in the Ideal, Spirit and Apostolic Mission of the Religious of Jesus and Mary.
The 34th.General Chapter of the Congregation in October 2001, approved it’s Statutes and recognized it as an Association.
To date there are 81 groups with a total of 1633 members all over the world.
Manual: The title of the Hand Book of the Association is “ LEAVEN, SALT AND LIGHT. They speak of a deep involvement and the full participation of the lay faithful in the affairs of the earth, the world and the human community”(CL 15), It’s aim is to enable the members to understand better the purpose of their membership, to deepen their Christian commitment in the light of the Charism of Claudine Thevenet, to live their daily lives according to the spirit of the Statutes and to make known the Family of Jesus and Mary to eventual new members.

-A Charter for life was primarily offered to our young Jesus and Mary Students. It is now offered as a source of inspiration to all the Young, seeking to base their lives on sound Values.

Every crime began with a small infidelity to God's law, Therefore we observe:

Honesty with God, with your neighbour an yourself. Cheating and lying in School leads to corruption and business and life.
Let me honestly admit the wrong I may fall into, and strive to do the right.

"Walk before God in truth and you will fear no one"

Purity
never tolerates day dreaming, dirty conversation, jokes, songs, books and films.
These lead to broken homes and misery.

"Blessed are the pure of heart. They shall see God."

Love
respects every human being as an individual; sees in her a child of God and sees her through God's eyes. Anger envy and quarrels lead to hatred of others and war.
"What you do to the least of God's Children, you do to God"

Selflessness
lies in putting ourselves in the place of others and feeling with them. Selfishness leads to envy, greed and bribery.

"Happiness comes from giving in to others"

God made us for himself and we are happy only when we live in God
He leads me by his whisper in my heart
I listen - I follow

 Claudine   Inspirator

To inspire our young girls to be WOMEN….

*      WOMEN with a strong faith in God, themselves and others.
*      WOMEN  of intellectual integrity, self-discipline and hard work.
*      WOMEN
who are self-reliant, selfless, fearless and forceful with a strong
 sense of family, social and national responsibility.
*      WOMEN with our unique Indian simplicity and purity of heart and purpose.
*      WOMEN who will transform their society not fit into it.

Through our work of Education, we aspire to infuse into our  students vast reserves of power that will enable them to:

…love and serve
…believe and pray
…suffer and endure
…discern the good and the lasting from the temporal and the  titillating;
…dispense rather than grab;
…be poised and elegant, not snobbish and showy;
…learn that enough is necessary and what is necessary is
enough.
…that happiness is the goal and the
reward.
and that Love is the way.

 Your trusting heart believed,
God will not chide,
  “ He will always provide”.

Your faithful heart sought
 To please only God.

“Love your Duty
” you taught.

3.   Blessed are you Claudine
Your zealous heart burned,

  “To form souls for heaven”

And for this you yearned.

4.  Blessed are you Claudine’
Your forgiving heart would cry
“Cherish Charity as the apple

Of your eye.”

5. Blessed are you Claudine,
 Your motherly heart cared
For the poor and the young;

“Be true mothers”
you dared.

 6. Blessed are you Claudine,
On entering eternal bliss,
Your grateful heart echoed,
Truly  “How good God is”

 7. Your daughters dear Claudine,
 With gratitude and praise,
 Our thanks to the Father,
 In new song we raise.
